It can also support you in accomplishing your many roles and responsibilities more effectively, with greater patience and fulfillment. These Self Care Breaks take just seconds and can fit seamlessly into existing lessons, as well as with any approaches to teaching you are already implementing.
Kate Forest, RYT is a Self Care and Mindful Living Teacher, the creator of Self Care Yoga®, a speaker, trainer, and world care advocate. She has been sharing her mindful approach to living and learning with universities, schools and organizations for nearly two decades. Through her in-person professional development and online programs Kate has helped to empower thousands of adults, adolescents, and children to release stress, build focus, and strengthen their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical health. She has a certificate in Mindfulness in Education along with extensive training and advanced level certifications in the practice of Yoga and Mindfulness.
Melissa Doe, M.Ed. is a Physical Education and Health Teacher at Minnechaug Regional High School in Wilbraham MA. She has nineteen years of experience teaching, coaching, and advising at the middle and high school levels, and was the MRHS 2012 Teacher of The Year recipient. Melissa is a long-time student of Self Care Yoga and Mindful Living and shares these teachings of social, emotional and physical health with her students and community. She supports the creation of these Self Care and Mindful Living Programs with Kate Forest, and at times assists with workshops.
